Research Summary

My research focuses on applications of Bayesian statistics and mathematical modeling in the field of transboundary animal diseases.

Areas of specific interest include: 

  • Evaluation and judicious use of expert opinion to supplement objective data
  • Exploration into human political, social and economic factors that contribute to disease spread and control
  • The role of population heterogeneity in disease endemicity and prevention
