The Council on Education of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) is the accrediting body for colleges of veterinary medicine.
The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine received Full Accreditation from the AVMA in July 2022. The next site visit of the college by the AVMA Council on Education is expected in Fall of 2028.
The November-December 2023 and April 2024 ultimate pass rate for students of our college on the North American Veterinary Licensing Examination (NAVLE) was 84% (141/167) as compared to an 80% pass rate required by the AVMA Council on Education's Outcomes Assessment standard.
Additional information about the college's accreditation status can be obtained from the Office of Admissions.
