Departments and Offices
The College of Veterinary Medicine at The Ohio State University is organized into three academic departments and nine administrative and service offices. These units work collaboratively to fulfill our mission of providing exceptional veterinary education, advancing animal and human health through research and patient care and serving our community.
Departments
Our academic departments are the foundation for educating future veterinarians. The Department of Veterinary Biosciences provides focuses on research, teaching and clinical service in anatomy, clinical and anatomic pathology, infectious diseases and cancer. The Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences oversees clinical education and services in our Veterinary Medical Center and focuses on research, publications, and the education of veterinary and graduate students. The Department of Veterinary Preventive Medicine’s mission is to prevent, control, or eradicate disease; promote sustainable agricultural productivity; and enhance the health of animal and human populations.
Offices
The administrative and service offices at our college support our comprehensive veterinary medicine program. From the office of continuing education to the office of professional success, these offices ensure we have the resources and infrastructure to Be The Model® comprehensive college of veterinary medicine in the world.
