The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine Alumni Society is proud to present one or more recognition awards during the 2024 Homecoming Weekend. These awards acknowledge and honor the alumni of the college who have contributed to the enhancement of the veterinary medical profession and/or provided support for the college or their communities.
Award Guidelines:
The Alumni Recognition Award may be given to any Ohio State College of Veterinary Medicine alumnus who is advancing the profession whether in practice, academia, industry, research, government service or other professional areas and has shown distinction in either of the following:
- Through their professional activities and dedication, including service to the college, dedication to organized veterinary medicine, or the advancement of scientific knowledge, and/or
- Through the contribution of their time and efforts for the enhancement and development of their community, and public or animal welfare.
New in 2024!
Nominate a Recent Graduate Alumni Society Award for our alumni that have graduated in the last 10 years (2014-2023) to recognize their accomplishments and contributions thus far to the veterinary and college communities.
Selection Criteria
- The nominee must be a graduate of The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine and a member of the College of Veterinary Medicine Alumni Society.
- Nominations must include this form, a letter of support, and a resume of the nominee or a detailed description of achievements. Nominations must be submitted to the Awards Committee by July 1, 2024 and will be active for 3 years. (Nominations lacking any of these three components may be returned, rejected, or unfairly evaluated.) If additional information is necessary, the College Alumni Coordinator will contact the nominator or the nominee and the nominator will remain confidential.
- The awards will be presented during the 2024 Homecoming Weekend.
- The selection committee consists of the Alumni Society President-elect (Committee Chair), at least three members of the Board of Trustees, and one alumnus from the college faculty.
