3rd Ohio Regional Tick Symposium & Ohio Mosquito & Vector Control Association (OMVCA) Annual Meeting

The 3rd Ohio Regional Tick Symposium , which includes a tick identification workshop and qualifies for 4.0 hours of veterinary CE, will be held on Monday, October 27, 2025, followed by the Ohio Mosquito & Vector Control Association (OMVCA) Annual Meeting on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at the Nationwide & Ohio Farm Bureau 4-H Center on Ohio State’s campus.

This event will bring together researchers, public health professionals, and educators to address the growing impact of ticks and vector-borne diseases in the state of Ohio. Risa Pesapane, MS, PhD, associate professor with tenure in the Department of Veterinary Preventive Medicine, is part of the planning committee. Both she and Yasuko Rikihisa, PhD, distinguished university professor in the Department of Veterinary Biosciences and a member of the National Academy of Sciences, will be presenting at the symposium.
