Professional Training and Experience

  • Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery, University of Glasgow, 2001

  • Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Certificate in Small Animal Surgery, 2009

  • Diplomate, European College of Veterinary Surgery, 2013

  • Fellow, Meritorious Contributions to Clinical Practice, Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, 2025

Research Interests

The overarching principle behind all of my research endeavors is to improve patient outcomes. To date this has concentrated in the following areas of interest:

  • The relevance of meniscal injury in cranial cruciate ligament disease.

  • Humeral intercondylar fissure and condylar fractures, particularly in French Bulldogs

  • Total Joint Replacement

  • Development of a universally accepted complications classification scheme

  • The use of Machine Learning for the prediction of complications and outcomes
