Dr. Papenfuss, DVM, PhD, DACVP is a toxicological pathologist and immunotoxicologist at Charles River Laboratories where she assesses preclinical drug development safety endpoints and risk assesssment.  Dr. Papenfuss is an affiliated (adjunct) faculty of veterinary experimental pathology at The Ohio State University, diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Pathologists and liaison for academic-industry partnerships.  Previously, Dr. Papenfuss was a research faculty member at The Ohio State University where she was Director of an Immunology lab which evaluated the immunopathology and immunotoxicology of novel therapeutics in translational medicine and animal models of human  inflammatory, autoimmune and cancer disease states.   In addition to supporting educational and training opportunities for students, Dr. Papenfuss serves as a consultant for industry in early discovery and preclinical safety in drug development and engages with students, faculty and academic units interested in establishing effective partnerships and collaborations between industry and the University.
