Dr. Linda Lord, associate professor in the Department of Veterinary Preventive Medicine, started as the new Associate Dean of Student Affairs in July.
The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine was well represented at the Sixth International Equine Conference on Laminitis and Diseases of the Foot held in West Palm Beach, Florida from October 29-3, with seven members and affiliates of the college in attendance.
As part of the Ohio State University Climate Change Webinar Series, Dean Lonnie King will present a One Health webinar on December 1 to explore how the convergence of human health and animal health has led to a new era of emerging infectious diseases.  The webinar will provide information about:
Cats needed for cardiology studies; Compassionate use of KPT-276 in dogs with spontaneous tumors; Fine-tuning the treatment of equine glaucoma; Modern lameness evaluatin and treatment at the Galbreath Equine Center; Improving outcome in dogs with glomerular disease via pharmacodynamic-based dosin
A partnership between The Ohio State University and Wheeling Island Racetrack has saved many lives. The partnership is an effort to improve the wellness of racing greyhounds, as well as rehabilitate those that are injured from the sport.
