    The Ohio State Veterinary Medical Center's Galbreath Equine Center will be represented at the 2017 Equine Affaire by Dr. Margaret Mudge, Equine service head. The Equine Affaire takes place from Thursday, April 6 through Sunday, April 9 at the Ohio Expo Center in Columbus, OH.

    Dr. Mudge will be covering two topics on Sunday, April 9:

    "What's Normal?: Taking Your Horse's Vitals"  - 1PM-1:45PM, Celeste Center - Equine Fundamentals Forum

    "Treating Wounds & Lacerations and When to Call a Vet"  - 4PM-5PM, Bricker Annex- Demo Ring

    The 2017 Celebrity Chef Event benefiting the Capital Area Humane Society takes place Thursday, March 30 from 6PM-8:30PM in The Walter Commons room at the St. Charles Preparatroy School in Bexley, OH.

    The College of Veterinary Medicine and VMC are among the sponsors for the event which provides delicious food tastings from area restaurants as well as libations. Celebrity chefs include area newscasters, radio personalities and others known around the area.

    The 2016 Midwest Veterinary Conference, hosted by the Ohio Veterinary Medical Association, takes place at the Greater Columbus Convention Center February 25-28.  More information can be found at mvcinfo.org. The Ohio State University Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences and the Veterinary Medical Center will once again host a "Lunch with the Experts" at the conference on Saturday, February 27 from 11:30-1:30. The lunch is being sponsored by Elanco.

    There is NO fee to participate and the Series is approved for CE credit. 

    The first series focuses on Nephrology and will be presented by Dr. Cathy Langston, DVM, DACVIM. The sessions are scheduled for Noon to 12:45 p.m. on the third Tuesday of every month. The general format is 25 minutes for the presentation, followed by time for questions and case discussion.
