As you may know, last September we broke ground on our Veterinary Medical Center (VMC) Enhancement and Expansion project, a critically important addition and renovation to our VMC.
The comfort of your clients and care of your patients is a high priority for us, and this project will improve our ability to support your referral needs. Part of phase one, a new Intensive Care Unit will be ready for operation in September. Located in the former Small Animal Operative Practice space, the new ICU features a central nurses’ station, two isolation wards, a patient visitation room, a break and conference room for faculty, staff and students, and new patient housing. This winter we will begin work on a more comfortable and spacious lobby and waiting area to ensure comfort for clients and their pets including private areas for our feline patients.
The four-phased $30 million project is primarily funded by private donations. We are fortunate that many alumni, clients and friends of the college have helped us reach the $21.5 million mark. We are now seeking your assistance in raising an unprecedented $2 million during the last three months of this calendar year.
We have been challenged by two donors to accomplish this goal and we need your help. By displaying a poster in your clinic lobby highlighting the project, and offering small note cards about our fundraising campaign to your clients, you can significantly contribute to the success of the campaign. We hope you will support our campaign which will benefit your referral patients and clients!
