    The Ohio State Veterinary Medical Center's Galbreath Equine Center will be represented at the 2017 Equine Affaire by Dr. Margaret Mudge, Equine service head. The Equine Affaire takes place from Thursday, April 6 through Sunday, April 9 at the Ohio Expo Center in Columbus, OH.

    Dr. Mudge will be covering two topics on Sunday, April 9:

    "What's Normal?: Taking Your Horse's Vitals"  - 1PM-1:45PM, Celeste Center - Equine Fundamentals Forum

    "Treating Wounds & Lacerations and When to Call a Vet"  - 4PM-5PM, Bricker Annex- Demo Ring

    The 2017 Celebrity Chef Event benefiting the Capital Area Humane Society takes place Thursday, March 30 from 6PM-8:30PM in The Walter Commons room at the St. Charles Preparatroy School in Bexley, OH.

    The College of Veterinary Medicine and VMC are among the sponsors for the event which provides delicious food tastings from area restaurants as well as libations. Celebrity chefs include area newscasters, radio personalities and others known around the area.

    Come hear equine surgeon Dr. Alison Gardner discuss bone chips in horses. She will highlight how to prevent them and how to successfuly manage them with surgery, to help get  your horse back into the blue ribbons!

    Come hear Drs. Yardley and Brokken talk about diagnosis and treatment of soft tissue injuries in sport horses. They will highlight new advances in regenerative medicine and the importance of using an MRI for lameness evaluation.

    The 2015 Farm Science Review will take place from Tuesday, September 22 through Thursday, September 24 at the Molly Caren Agricultural Center in London, Ohio.

     Various speakers from the College of Veterinary Medicine, including Associate Professor and Hospital for Farm Animals clinician, Dr. Andy Niehaus, DVM, MS, DACVS will discuss a wide range of topics over the course of the 3-day event.
