The Dermatology, Otology & Audiology service at The Ohio State University Veterinary Medical Center offers comprehensive care for companion and equine animals with skin and ear disease.

Integrated Oncology Service at Ohio State’s Veterinary Medical Center is comprised of a team of cancer doctors with specialties in medical, surgical and radiation oncology, working together - and with you and your family veterinarian - from initial consultation and diagnosis, through the prescription and implementation of a treatment plan.

 
 

We are available to assist in the diagnosis and management of dogs and cats with gastrointestinal disorders, hepatic or pancreatic diseases, liver or bladder diseases, upper and lower airway diseases (including nasal disease), endocrine and other metabolic disorders, and infectious diseases.

The Neurology and Neurosurgery Service at the Veterinary Medical Center at Ohio State University provides comprehensive medical and surgical care for companion animals with neurological conditions.

IMPORTANT UPDATE TO EMERGENCY SERVICES 

Beginning June 1, 2021, our companion animal emergency room will be closed during the overnight hours of Midnight to 8 a.m., seven days a week, until further notice.  

 

 

Small Animal Emergency and Critical Care Service at the Veterinary Medical Center at Ohio State provides care for dogs and cats with many types of emergent or serious conditions. Our Intensive Care Unit provides 24/7 support for those patients needing close monitoring and extensive care. The ICU is fully staffed with dedicated registered technicians, some of which are certified in emergency and critical care, as well as state-of-the-art monitoring equipment, such as remote heart monitoring, direct blood pressure monitoring, and full blood work capability.

The Radiation Oncology Service at Ohio State's Veterinary Medical Center provides radiation therapy for a variety of tumor types in both large and small animal patients.

The Soft Tissue Surgery Service at the Ohio State Veterinary Medical Center provides general surgical care for companion animals. The unit offers specialized surgical management of skin and organ diseases (orthopedic and neurological diseases are managed by other services), In addition, specialists primarily manage and supervise elective surgical procedures performed by senior students, interns, and residents.

The Theriogenology and Reproductive Medicine Service at the VMC will offer assisted reproductive services for dogs and cats, farm, and equine patients.
