Emergency and Critical Care
Diley Hill Animal Emergency Center is a 24 hours emergency/critical care facility with soft tissue and orthopedic surgery and intensive internal medicine cases. We have a full on-site laboratory, ultrasound, digital radiography, and endoscopy.
  • Dr. Alec Land (OSU '85): 27 years of general practice, emergency, and surgical experience with TPLO and TTA certification.
  • Dr. Damien Giancola (OSU '07)- medical director: 6 years of exclusively emergency experience.
  • Dr. Jennifer Crase (OSU '03)- 10 years of emergency and general practice experience.
  • Dr. Dan Hughes (OSU '11)- 2 years of exclusively emergency experience.
  • Dr. Karen White (OSU '10)- 3 years of emergency and general practice experience.
  • Dr. Jennifer Hayes (Ross/OSU '13)- skilled new graduate.
Rounds are performed twice daily. Numerous texts available (list available upon request), as well as access to VIN, IDEXX, and On the Floor at Dove.
The student will be expected to perform physical exams, suggest and interpret diagnostic tests and treatment under the guidance of the attending veterinarian.
Doctors are on site 24 hours a day. We are suggesting that the student spend four twelve hours shifts 7am to 7pm and four twelve hour shifts 7pm to 7am.
