Veterinary students welcome Tim Harrison, animal rescue expert

The Elephant in the Living RoomTim Harrison, director of Outreach for Animals, was featured in the acclaimed documentary film, The Elephant in the Living Room. A law enforcement officerTim Harrison from Oakwood, Ohio, Harrison has spent most of his life dedicated to educating people about wild animals in their natural habitat. The film about his work explores the controversial subculture of exotic animals being raised as family pets. Veterinary students in the College of Veterinary Medicine will offer a free film screening of “The Elephant in the Living Room” and the opportunity to meet Tim Harrison and ask questions about his work on Friday, September 20 at 5:00 p.m. in the Veterinary Medical Center Auditorium, 601 Vernon Tharp St. (located at the corner of Vernon Tharp Street and Coffey Road – enter from the doors on the east/Coffey Road side, at “Subway”) More information: Brad Ryan, president, Student Chapter of the American Association of Zoo Veterinarians,
