Office of Career Management launches online job-posting board

The Office of Career Management’s newly-opened job board, which is part of the Ohio State Veterinary Medicine Career Center, gives students, alumni and employers extensive resources for networking. With the online job-posting board, employers can post an unlimited number of job opportunities for Ohio State students and search for resumes. Employers also have the option of posting job openings nationwide to reach hundreds of potential candidates, since the Career Center is part of the Veterinary Career Network.

Ohio State’s College of Veterinary Medicine is the first veterinary school to offer dedicated career assistance since the Office of Career Management opened in 2012, and the addition of the online Career Center will further improve the vast scope of resources they offer.

“I have found the Office of Career Management to be a great resource,” said Ohio State alumnus Robert Knapp, MS, DVM.  “The students I have interviewed and worked with are definitely very aware and knowledgeable about the factors that make them more marketable to DVMs looking for new associates.”

The office assists students in resume and cover letter review, career exploration, developing strategies for pursuing their future career goals and more.

“I cannot imagine what the job search was like for students before the Office of Career Management,” said Austin Kleman, a recent DVM student. “They
helped me with everything in the job search process.”
