Local symposium to address antibiotic use in food animals

Antibiotic use in food animals will be the topic of a symposium, “A One Health Approach to Antimicrobial Use & Resistance: A Dialogue for a Common Purpose,” to be held at the Hilton Polaris Hotel in Columbus, November 13-15. Hosted by the National Institute for Animal Agriculture, the event is open to all who have a stake in engaging in meaningful dialogue and creating successful strategies to preserve antibiotic efficacy. Speakers will include Ohio State University President E. Gordon Gee; Lonnie King, DVM, dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine; and Kurt Stevenson, MD, MPH, associate professor of internal medicine and epidemiology in the College of Medicine and the College of Public Health.
