        • Comparative Nephropathology, specifically the investigation of pathogenesis, epidemiology, and treatment of spontaneous kidney disease in veterinary species as models for renal disease in humans
        • Elucidation of the various etiologies of canine glomerulonephridites
        • Validation of novel urinary biomarker assays to detect renal injury and aid in prognostication
        • Systemic effects of hypertension and metabolic syndromes in canines
        • Additional diagnostic modalities for pathologic evaluation, including immunofluorescence, electron microscopy, stereology, and digital microscopy
