A white coat is just the beginning

The White Coat Ceremony

The white coat is a symbol of the knowledge our students gained during their first three years of veterinary education. They have chosen to dedicate their lives to veterinary medicine and will go on to become leaders in their communities. The day they receive their white coat is a crucial step in their professional journey.

Help students continue their journey.

By sponsoring a white coat, you confirm the continuity of excellence shared by all graduates of The Ohio State College of Veterinary Medicine. Your gift to the Class of 2023 has an impact on their future, tying past and present together, as you support students who share your commitment to preserving the human animal bond, protecting our agricultural economy and preserving a safe food supply.

We hope you will take this time to remember when your own journey began. By sponsoring a white coat, you can make a difference in the life of a student today who will make a difference tomorrow.

If you would like your gift to honor a particular student, please include "[Student Name] White Coat" in the Special Instructions box  located in the Additional Information section at the bottom of the page.
