Please Welcome the Class of 2022

From more than 1,389 applicants, 162 students were chosen for the Class of 2022 at The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine.

With 66 students coming from Ohio, the class of 2022 includes a marathoner, volunteer firefighter, published poet, juggler, camel handler, blues guitar player, and a beekeeper. The students in this class have spent many hours volunteering for organizations like Meals on Wheels, Relay for Life, Habitat for Humanity, and Special Olympics.

115 of our students are from underrepresented groups in veterinary medicine, which includes male, race and ethnic diversity and first generation college students

Facts and figures can’t tell you everything about our newest incoming class but they can give you some insight into students that will be the next generation of veterinarians. To learn more about our incoming class, please view the Class of 2022 Profile.

Before their first day of class, the students completed a four day orientation. To view photos from these events, click here.
