Dr. Wittum Awarded Grant from the National Institute of Food and Agriculture

Thomas Wittum, MS, PhD, Professor and Chair in the Department of Veterinary Preventive Medicine, was recently awarded a $999,844 grant from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) to study environmental, human and animal health risks from the dissemination of carbapenem-resistant Entrobacteriaceae into agricultural watersheds. Dr. Jiyoung Lee, Professor in the College of Public Health and Dr. Mažeika Sullivan, Associate Professor, School of Environment and Natural Resources are both serving as co-investigators on this project.
