Digital cytology is fast becoming a mechanism for rapid cytology results. Before utilizing this service, veterinarians will be required to train for taking quality digital cytology photos.

The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine will be offering a FREE 2 hour digital cytology workshop for veterinary practitioners in July. Those who attend will receive 2 hours of Continuing Education credit.

You may choose to attend one of the following workshops:
July 12, 2-4 pm
July 13, 9-11 am
July 13, 1-3 pm

NOTE:  These lab workshops are all full and registration is closed.

At this workshop, you will learn:

--how to identify diagnostic regions of cytology smears
--how to photograph diagnostic regions of cytology smears with a smart phone
--how to ensure that your digital photograph is of diagnostic quality

This workshop will be lead by Dr. Julie Piccione, DVM, DACVP, a veterinary clinical pathologist at the Texas Veterinary Medical Diagnostic Laboratory and expert in digital cytology diagnostics, along with several Ohio State CVM faculty.

In order to utilize the digital cytology services offered by OSU in the near future, course training/participation will be required.
