Mission StatementThe mission of Community Practice is to promote pet health by providing high quality, compassionate care for our patients. Our guiding principles are:
Our goal is to create a general practice environment and mindset within the Veterinary Medical Center. This translates into managing our patients over the course of their lives. We strive to not only provide optimal care within our service, but to also work with the specialists within our VMC to manage more complex cases that would benefit from consultation / referral.
Senior veterinary students rotating through our service are trained specifically in low stress handling and restraint methods to make your pets visit as pleasant as possible. One of our major goals in the community practice clinic is to make sure that every student leaves understanding the importance of decreasing stress to the patients during routine veterinary care.
