The Ohio State University Hospital for Companion Animals provides emergency veterinary care for cats and dogs 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, 365 days per year. We serve the Columbus area, all of Ohio, and nearby states.

Our goal is to provide prompt evaluation and treatment of all patients, and timely service to clients. We evaluate patients arriving in our Veterinary Medical Center and treat them in order, based upon the seriousness of their condition.

What Urgent and Emergency Care Services does the Hospital for Companion Animals Provide?
We will evaluate and stabilize your dog or cat, and suggest diagnostic tests and provide a treatment plan. We can care for illnesses, injuries, or abnormalities requiring immediate assessment and care for medical, surgical, traumatic, neurologic, reproductive, and various other ailments.
The Urgent and Emergency Care Services of the Hospital for Companion Animals is staffed around-the-clock by in-house licensed veterinary clinicians, registered veterinary technicians and supported by final-year veterinary students and client services staff members.
