Equine
December 10, 2009 - 1:25pm
Purpose of study
To demonstrate an efficacy and safety of cell-mediated molecular therapy for bone disorders and bone regeneration in horses with bone lesions.
June 2, 2011 - 10:33am
Purpose of the study
The goal of this study is to test the ability of a concentrated, activated, autologous blood solution to increase therapeutic mediators in joints and reduce lameness in horses with osteoarthritis.
Orthopedic Surgery
February 19, 2010 - 4:27pm
Purpose
The purpose of this study is to evaluate clinical function and evidence of bone healing after implantation of two new devices developed specifically for the dog.
September 18, 2010 - 9:10am
Purpose
The purpose of this study is to compare the effectiveness of cemented versus cementless canine total knee replacement.
Radiology
June 28, 2010 - 11:55am
Purpose
The goal of this study is to determine if computed tomography (CT) is more accurate for detecting canine intestinal obstruction than abdominal radiographs. We expect using CT will be more sensitive, specific, accurate and have better ROC curves than using abdominal radiographs.
Ophthalmology
June 28, 2010 - 12:06pm
Purpose
To evaluate the safety and effectiveness of a new formulation of a topical drug, cyclosporine, currently used to treat Keratoconjunctivitis Sicca (KCS), commonly called "Dry Eye."
June 28, 2010 - 12:11pm
Purpose
To determine if the currently used location and energy settings for semiconductor diode laser trans-scleral cyclophotocoagulation are appropriate for buphthalmic equine globes.
November 30, 2011 - 12:08pm
Purpose of Study
The goal of this study is to evaluate ZP-1 (P-1046) is a topical ophthalmic prescription pharmaceutical product for the treatment of canine keratoconjunctivitis sicca that is administered as a twice per day topical eye drop.
Cardiology
October 13, 2010 - 7:53pm
View the study flyer
Purpose
This
randomized, double-blind, active-control single-dose study
addresses the hypothesis that ivabradine does reduce dynamic obstruction of the
left ventricular outflow tract in cats with Hypertrophic
cardiomyopathy (HCM).
June 10, 2011 - 11:19am
The purpose of this study is to investigate the short- and long-term effects of oral pimobendan, an inodilator drug, in cats with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) and congestive heart failure (CHF), with and without left ventricular outflow tract obstruction (LVOTO). This study will assist in gathering data on tolerability, morbidity, mortality, disease incidence and other parameters to plan future studies. It is a prospective, double-blind, placebo-controlled, multi-center study.
August 30, 2011 - 10:03am
Purpose of the study:
The purpose of this study is to determine whether chronic oral administration of pimobendan in dogs with evidence of increased heart size secondary to preclinical myxomatous mitral valve disease, can delay the onset of signs of congestive heart failure.
Oncology/Radiation Oncology
December 1, 2010 - 11:24am
Purpose of Study
The purpose of this clinical trial is to evaluate the activity of piroxicam/cyclophosphamide versus Palladia/piroxicam/cyclophosphamide in dogs with OSA following amputation and standard chemotherapy and to compare this with a historical group of dogs treated with chemotherapy alone.
December 15, 2010 - 12:53pm
Purpose of Study
The purpose of this study is to
identify the activity of toceranib phosphate (Palladia) alone or as a radiation
sensitizing agent in the treatment of feline oral squamous cell carcinoma.
February 7, 2011 - 4:56pm
Purpose of
Study
The purpose of this
study is to define the biologic activity of Palladia alone or in combination
with radiation therapy for the treatment of nasal carcinoma.
May 9, 2011 - 1:54pm
Purpose
The goal of this study is to assess efficacy of Palladia and Vinblastine combined for treatment of canine transitional cell carcinoma and to compare computerized tomography and ultrasound for measurement of tumor response.
August 18, 2011 - 1:17pm
Purpose
The goal of this study is to determine if canine mast cell tumors with kit mutation respond better to Palladia and whether screening for kit mutations play a role in treatment decision-making.
December 5, 2011 - 3:38pm
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and tolerability of KPT-335 given on a compassionate use basis to dogs with failed/metastatic lymphoma, mast cell tumor, osteosarcoma, and melanoma
December 6, 2011 - 10:02am
The goal of this study is to determine response rates in dogs with mast cell tumors recieving STA-1474 using 4 different dosing regimens.
January 8, 2012 - 8:42pm
Purpose
This study is a multi-center effort led by Dr. Doug Thamm at Colorado State University to determine the maximum tolerated dose, tolerability and adverse effect profile of combined treatment with pulse-dose toceranib and lomustine in dogs with MCT. He also would like to determine the response rate and progression-free interval in dogs with measurable MCT treated with combined pulse-dose toceranib and lomustine.
Neurology
April 27, 2011 - 2:14pm
Purpose of the study:
To characterize the anatomic, pathologic and biochemical features of CSM in Great Danes using CT (computerized tomography), MRI (magnetic resonance imaging), CSF (cerebrospinal fluid) analysis and electrodiagnostic tests and compare the same features to those of normal Great Danes.
November 30, 2011 - 2:30pm
Purpose of Study
The specific objectives of this study are to characterize specific inflammatory responses in the spinal fluid of dogs with acute SCI, , and correlate the degree of those responses with initial injury severity and long-term outcome
Internal Medicine
October 24, 2011 - 1:42pm
Purpose of the study
The purpose of this study is to determine if higher doses of enalapril than those currently recommended will further reduce urine protein excretion in dogs with glomerular disease, will survival time, slow rate of decline in kidney function, and delay onset of azotemia as compared to the standard enalapril dose.
