The anesthesia and perioperative pain management service at the Veterinary Medical Center (VMC) of The Ohio State University provides comprehensive anesthetic and pain management for all species with concentration on the common domestic species.
The Animal Blood Bank/Transfusion Medicine Service operates under the Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences within the Clinical Hematology/Oncology Service and the Veterinary Medical Center.
The Clinical Pathology Laboratories include the clinical chemistry, cytology and hematology laboratories. These laboratories provide diagnostic service and professional laboratory expertise to the Veterinary Medical Center, departments and research laboratories within the college and university and the university laboratory animal program. Samples from multiple species are analyzed daily using state-of-the-art automated equipment.
In addition to diagnostic services and specimen analysis, the clinical laboratories provide valuable case material for teaching veterinary medical students and preparing residents for specialty board certification in veterinary pathology, clinical pathology, internal medicine, and surgery.
The Diagnostic Imaging Service provides complete diagnostic imaging services (radiology) to all hospital patients. Our professional faculty and staff offer excellent, timely service to our veterinary patients and their clinicians. The Radiation Oncology Service at Ohio State's Veterinary Medical Center provides radiation therapy for a variety of tumor types in both large and small animal patients.

The Diagnostic and Clinical Microbiology Service at the Veterinary Medical Center of The Ohio State offers/provides bacteriology, mycology, and serologic procedures for The Veterinary Medical Center.
