The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center (OSUCCC) was designated as a comprehensive cancer center in 1976 by the National Cancer Institute (NCI). We are one of only 40 Comprehensive Cancer Centers in the United States.
The OSUCCC has a multidisciplinary team approach to cancer research, patient care, prevention and community outreach. We are an umbrella entity that unifies Ohio State scientists and researchers from 14 colleges at OSU who have a research focus on cancer and translate basic, clinical and prevention research into quality cancer care.
The mission of the Center for Clinical and Translational Science Center is "to improve the quality of care for all patients in the community by developing a transformative clinical and translational science discipline that is at the core of the OSU academic culture."
The goal of the CTSA is to speed the translation of new scientific discoveries to enhance patient outcomes.
The 4.7T/40cm MRI Facility was created as part of the Ohio Cellular and Molecular Imaging Consortium (OCMIC) with the goal to advance state of the art technology for animal imaging at the molecular, cellular and system level, to serve as a resource for medical research, biotechnology advances and pharmaceutical development, and for probing in vivo gene function, disease processes and therapeutic applications including drug delivery and trials.
The goal of the Consortium is to facilitate inter-institutional collaboration between Academic Institutions in Ohio and technology transfer to Industry.
As one of the largest and most comprehensive pediatric hospitals and research institutes in the United States, Nationwide Children's is a resource and an advocate for children and parents in central Ohio and far beyond.
The Research Institute at Nationwide Children's Hospital is one of the nation's ten largest free-standing pediatric research centers and works to enhance the health of children by engaging in high-quality, cutting-edge research.
