From 8-9 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 5, the Equine Research Group will hold a meeting and seminar in the Equine Conference Room. Dr. Pamela A. Wilkins, professor of Equine Internal Medicine at University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine, will speak.
The Dairy Cattle Welfare Symposium will bring together industry leaders to discuss best recommended practices of animal care with emphasis on animal welfare and health, animal-human interaction, and sustainability of the dairy industry. The roster of speakers includes several dairymen and dairy managers that will discuss routine welfare challenges observed in dairy operations.

Fourth-year student Luke Morrow was presented with the Simmons Educational Fund Business Aptitude Award on Jan. 17. Each year, the SEF chooses one student per veterinary school for their business skills, and Morrow was named the overall national winner.
The American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine and the European College of Veterinary Neurology's 2-week long neuroscience course, “Brain Camp,” will be held at Ohio State from July 25 - Aug. 6.
