<h3>Research Interests</h3>

<p>

Dr. Molla's&nbsp;research has been in the area of veterinary public health (food safety, antimicrobial resistance and zoonoses) with particular emphasis on the epidemiology and antimicrobial resistance of non-typhoidal <em>Salmonella</em> and methicillin resistant <em>Staphylococcus aureus</em> (MRSA). Currently he is working on:

<li>Biocide and heavy metal micronutrient intervention in swine production and their epidemiological association with the occurrence and persistence of multi-drug resistant <em>Salmonella</em></li>

<li>Occurrence and molecular epidemiology of methicillin resistant <em>Staphylococcus aureus</em> (MRSA) on farm, at slaughter and pork.</li>
