The Veterinary Medical Center at The Ohio State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in Columbus, Ohio is currently looking for a full time veterinarian who is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation (or is board eligible) or is a certified Veterinary Rehabilitation Therapist (CCRT or CCRP). We are seeking an individual that is team oriented and has excellent communication skills with fellow colleagues, clients, and the referral community. The primary role of this position will be as a staff veterinarian providing clinical care to patients and collaborating with faculty veterinarians of other services (primarily Neurology and Orthopedic Surgery), residents, students, and physical rehabilitation staff. This position will support the teaching mission by participating in student and resident teaching under the guidance of the Director of Physical Rehabilitation Services. The ideal candidate has previous experience running a physical rehabilitation service, enjoys clinical research, and is dedicated to practicing the highest quality of rehabilitative services. He/she will be charged to expand the rehabilitation services by providing exemplary care, while leading community outreach and marketing efforts to referring practices. In addition to exercise and manual therapy, our rehabilitation service utilizes underwater and land treadmill, therapeutic ultrasound, NMES, Class III lasers, shockwave, and regenerative medicine. This position will be responsible for servicing out of hospital referrals as well as in hospital cases. Certification in canine rehabilitation (ACVSMR or CCRT, CCRP) is required. Certification in acupuncture and chiropractic is preferred. Ability to be licensed in the State of Ohio and subject to a successful background check.
