CVM Global Health Programs Accepted three Brazilian Visiting Scholars under the Science without Borders (SWB) Program

CVM Global Health Programs accepted three Brazilian Visiting scholars supported through CNPq (Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico, of the Ministry for Science and Technology of Brazil) fellowship program - Science without Borders. The fellowship program covers full scholarship including tuition and other administrative fees. The students (from left to right: Lusiana Farias, Guilhlerme Moura and  Andreia Vielmo and) will be attending specific courses during this semester and at the same time they will be at the  Infectious Diseases and Molecular Epidemiology Laboratory (IDMEL) for research training program on advanced laboratory techniques on foodbore pathogens which allows them to get experience and skills on state-of-the art methods used to detect, characterize and to genotype important animal and human (zoonotic) infectious agents. Such programs will enhance our existing partnership with Brazilian institutes in capacity strengthening and student and faculty exchange programs in the health sciences and biotechnology areas.
