Externs will participate in daily hospital rounds, case discussions, outpatient receiving, emergency case management, inpatient case management, and diagnostics. Our hospital combines a specialty service, a general practice and emergency service which allows externs to experience all aspects of this diverse practice.

- 5 Internal Medicine specialists
- 2 Surgeon specialists 1 Critical Care specialist
- 3 Radiologists 2 Critical Care residents
- 1 Internship trained emergency doctor
- 4 General Practitioners (including one Board certified in Canine and Feline Practice)
- 8 current Rotating Medicine and Surgery Interns
- 1 Surgery Intern
Educational Resources
- The hospital has a full library with all relevent veterinary and human medical textbooks as well as both veterinary and human medical journals.
- Case based rounds are held daily.
- Once weekly, there are two hours of teaching rounds for our interns. These include lectures, morbidity and mortality rounds, Grand rounds, Journal Club and radiology rounds.

Student Supervision
We are a 24 hour hospital that is open 7 days a week, 365 days per year. Externs are assigned to an 8 hour shift each day during their rotation. The internal medicine, general practice, and emergency services see appointments 7 days per week.
