Private small animal emergency and specialty practice
Rotation with specialty and ER services to gain experience in a large multidisciplinary specialty practice. Collaborative approach to medical case management will give students ability to follow cases through the hospital regardless of what service they are on.
Collaborative and cooperative morning rounds in ICU is incredible experience in problem solving and cross-departmental communication.
6 board certified surgeons
  • 2 board certified medical oncologists and 1 residency trained oncologist with >24 years experience in medical and radiation oncology
  • 2 board certified radiologists
  • 4 board certified and 1 residency trained internists (internal medicine and neprhology)
  • Board certified neurologist
  • Residency trained criticalist
  • Board certified anesthesiologist
  • Multiple internship and experienced ER doctors
  • Computer journal access
  • Library with textbooks
  • Morning rounds in ICU with case discussion and presentation
  • Frequent evening and daytime CE (depends on date of visit)
  • We expect students to be self motivated in their own learning.
  • We expect participation in case discussion.
  • Mostly shadowing, case discussion and interaction with doctors and staff
  • Assisting in surgery and with procedures
All the time they are with us they will have access to supervision. Students will never be left alone
