This program has been submitted(but not yet approved) for 14 hours of continuing education credit in jurisdictions which recognize AAVSB RACE approval; however participants should be aware that some boards have limitations on the number of hours accepted in certain categories and/or restrictions on certain methods of delivery of continuing education. The College of Veterinary Medicine is also a provider of continuing education for Licensed Veterinary Professionals in the state of New York.
This conference will be held in the VMC Auditorium in the Veterinary Medical Center at 601 Vernon L. Tharp Street, Columbus OH 43210. Please use the side entrance on Coffey road to enter the building.
The abdominal ultrasound course offers lectures in the morning, and the afternoon is spent in the lab where attendees will gain hands-on ultrasound experience. A simplified review of ultrasound physics and technology is provided. Consideration is given to the choices in purchasing equipment and relating the various components to clinical tasks. Efficiency of examinations and medical records are emphasized.
The basic course is designed for the individual with little to no experience with diagnostic ultrasound and includes overview of abdominal ultrasound including physics, scan techniques, color Doppler, and normal abdominal sonographic anatomy. The Intermediate course is intended to provide additional hands-on practice and to serve as a preview of coming attractions for those who are not yet performing studies.
Course fees: $600 (U.S. funds only) per day or $1050 for both days. Registration includes conference instruction, continental breakfast, refreshments, lunch, and course proceedings. Course registration must be received by March 27, 2015 and Registration is open on a first-come, first-served basis and may close prior to March 27, 2015 if the course is filled.
You may cancel your conference registration at any time prior to March 27, 2015 and receive an 80 percent refund of the course fee. There will be no refund if you are unable to attend and do not cancel prior to March 27, 2015. Full registration refunds will be issued if the conference is cancelled. We are not liable for travel expenses incurred by participants.
