An eight doctor equine exclusive practice located in Williamson County, Tennessee. We see a variety of disciplines with the majority being English Sport horses (dressage, jumpers). Our caseload is approximately 35% lameness, 35% reproduction, and 30% medicine (including pediatrics, hospital cases, preventative, and surgical).
We are a mix of ambulatory (70%) and hospital cases (30%). We have a 19 stall facility which also houses one major surgical suite and one minor surgical suite. We utilize a full compliment of diagnostic/therapeutic equipment including video gastroscopy, video endoscopy, extra-corporeal shockw! ave, digital radiography, digital ultrasonography, nuclear scintigraphy, cryotherapy, computerized hoof balance, power dentistry units, and a full laboratory. We strive to provide top of the line care for our patients and clients.
Practical externships/preceptorships available from one week to two months in length. The purpose of this program is to expose the student to all aspects of equine practice including lameness, internal medicine, reproduction, pediatrics, elective and emergency surgery, etc.

Students will be expected to assist the attending doctor or intern with management of hospitalized or out-patient horses including overnight care of critical cases and treatments of hospitalized patients. Students will also be exposed to all aspects of equine ambulatory medicine. Each student will be allowed to participate in the treatment of cases based upon the individual's knowledge base and level of experience.
Students are required to be available Mon - Fri and are encouraged to be available on the weekends for additional experience.
