College of Veterinary Medicine

The objective of the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society is to raise the level of patient care for seriously ill or injured animals through quality education and communication programs. As a student chapter we aim to involve and educate veterinary students in all aspects of managing the emergency and critical care patient. Throughout the school year there will be several speakers that focus on pertinent issues in equine, exotic, large animal, and companion animal emergency and critical care medicine. Members will also be offered the opportunity to gain hands on experience through a wide range of wet labs.
