Mixed animal practice with a busy general practice surgical (spay/neuter/dental) schedule and alternative medicine(chiropractic, massage, laser and osteopathy). Mostly dog, cat and equine with the occasional small ruminant. This is a busy mixed animal country clinic that focuses on compassionate patient care and client relationships. Good opportunity for hands on experience that is vastly different than the larger hospitals.
Hands on experience with all general practice appointments from spay, neuter, dentals, declaws and vaccinations. Work with a several area shelters and rescues. Variety of internal medicine management and emergency care opportunities. Resident horses and some research animals on premises. On-site and farm calls for horses and occasionally small ruminants. Strong focus that would introduce multiple alternative medicine modalities.
Canine and Equine Osteopathy Training, Equine dentistry focus, EPM research affiliation with Pathogenes and case management, Advanced Equine Podiatry training. Abaxis lab equipment.
general case discussion and variety of veterinary medical books in office.
Expected to perform clinical duties of a technician and potentially associate veterinarian under supervision.
