Randwick Equine Centre
Description
The Randwick Equine Centre is a 20 veterinarian, purely equine practice. The practice services a wide range of horses, from miniature ponies to elite Thoroughbred race horses. Although we have extensive experience servicing the Thoroughbred racing industry, a wide range of breeds and conditions are treated on a daily basis.
Our hospital facilities include two surgery suites, two imaging suites (digital radiology, ultrasound, video-endoscopy and nuclear scintigraphy). The practice includes specialists in the fields of surgery, anaesthesia and medicine. The practice is supported by a fully equipped on-site laboratory. The teaching activities of REC include intern (4 per annum) training and short term practical experience for both national and international veterinary and pre-veterinary students. Placements are available year round.

Responsibilities
Hours are Monday to Friday, 7.30 - 5.30 and Saturday 7.30 - 10.30 Students are required to have horse handling experience, and it is preferable to have students in the clinical stages of their course.
Student Supervision
The students will have free access to the vets during the practice operation hours, and optionally after hours as well.
