Policies

  1. All orders are pre-pay only, meaning that your order will not be placed until we receive payment in the form of cash, check, credit/debit card, or purchase order. This applies to students, faculty, and staff. NO EXCEPTIONS.
  2. Quarterly book orders and all special orders must be picked up within 30 days of receipt of books in OVESS, unless previous arrangements have been made with the OVESS staff, due to limited storage space. Orders not picked up within 30 days are subject to resale and the purchase price is non-refundable.
  3. All orders are pickup only. No orders will be mailed to alternate locations, hand delivered, or distributed in the classroom. NO EXCEPTIONS.
  4. No returns, cash refunds, or exchanges will be given for books that are already ordered or purchased. For items backordered or cancelled, credit slips will be issued. Credit slips have the same value as cash and will not be replaced if lost or stolen. No cash refunds will be given under any circumstances.
  5. Please allow 7-10 days for delivery of special book orders or items that are not in stock. Please realize this may take longer if the item is backordered. OVESS will attempt to notify you via email if that is the case.
  6. OVESS will notify you via email when your order arrives.
  7. OVESS hours are subject to change; however, OVESS will attempt to notify students, faculty, and staff of changes in advance via email. Otherwise, a sign denoting the change in hours will be posted on the door. Please remember - WE ARE FULL TIME STUDENTS TOO!!!!
  8. OVESS prices are subject to change without prior notification. Prices will be based on current list prices. Tax must be included on any purchase. Shipping and handling charges must be included for any special order that we do not currently carry in stock. Shipping and handling will not be charged on books ordered with the quarterly book order. 
  9. There will be a $25.00 fee for all returned checks.
  10. There will be a $10.00 late fee for any quarterly book order sheet turned in after the specified deadline.
  11. Late fees for quarterly book orders are $10.00 per week that the order remains unpaid after the deadline to pick up books has passed.
  12. If an order is not paid for after it has been placed, the balance on your account will be reported to the University and your diploma will be held at graduation until all debts are cleared.
  13. Due to our limited hours, we are willing to leave a purchased item in the individual's mailbox if requested. However, we are not liable for refunds or replacements if the item is stolen. This option is AT YOUR OWN RISK!
