Description

Multi-specialty experience with collaboration between many practices in one building - including surgery, neurology, emergency, internal medicine, oncology, dermatology, ophthalmology, dentistry, and imaging (MRI and CT). Depending upon the time spent with the hosptial, the student can choose up to two practices to divide their time.

Surgery & internal medicine externship is also offered with observation and participation in cases with the surgical an internal medicine teams at PVSEC.

Educational Resources

Online journal access, in house journals, books, multiple department libraries, 3+ hours of weekly rounds

Responsibilities

Both shadowing and active participation in specialty cases including SOAPs, PF, surgical assistance and differential diagnosis & treatment.

8-12 hours/day, 5 days/week
