Student will be given the opportunity to observe and participate in the fields of surgery, exotic animal medicine, emergency/critical care, and general small animal practice.
Student will have access to well stocked library and computer access to journal articles. Student will participate in doctor rounds and any continuing education activities scheduled during externship.
Student will be expected to observe and participate in the care and treatment of exotic animals, emergency/critical care cases, and general small animal practice. Student will be expected to learn current veterinary medicine protocols, as well as client communication.
Student will be studying approximately 8 to 9 hours per day, 5 days per week.
