Description
Extern will gain experience in a true mixed animal practice. The practice takes care of anything from ferrets to draft horses. The extern will be able to get a taste of being a veterinarian in a small rural practice in south central Pennsylvania. More specific information can be obtained by emailing Dr. Lartz.

Responsibilities
The number one responsibility of an extern is the willingness to learn. It does not hurt to be able to be ready for anything at a moment's notice. The extern is also responsible to look and act professional when in contact with clients.
Student Supervision
Students are supervised at all times when performing tasks in the clinic or on the farm. Students are not directly supervised when the individual student has exhibited the technical skill or skills to perform a specific task.
