Description

 

We offer externships to expose students to superior quality medicine, allowing them to expand their veterinary education and to enhance confidence levels of diagnostic and practice skills. There is a good amount of diagnostic work-ups; nerve blocks, radiology, ultrasound, shock wave therapy, vet-stem, endoscopy, bone scans and treatments. We also offer a new state of the art surgical center and perform all manner of elective and emergency surgical care. Complementary therapies including acupuncture and traditional Chinese veterinary medicine is also offered.

Responsibilities

We offer externships to expose students to superior quality medicine, allowing them to expand their veterinary education and to enhance confidence levels of diagnostic and practice skills. There is a good amount of diagnostic work-ups; nerve blocks, radiology, ultrasound, shock wave therapy, vet-stem, endoscopy, bone scans and treatments. The extern will be responsible for assisting in the diagnosis and treatment of in-house and ambulatory patients. The extern must be able to rotate in our 11pm checks for hospitalized patients. The student can expect the work week to last 50-60 hrs or until the job is completed.
