Veterinary Externship. California law allows Senior Veterinary
Students from Accredited Universities to participate and perform the
Duties of a Registered Veterinary Technician. Students may assist in
surgery, but not actively diagnose or prescribe medications.
Our Clinic is an 8 DVM practice located in Los Gatos, the heart of
the Silicon Valley. We have an educated clientele who expect high
quality medicine and service.
- Our hospital has been serving the community since 1947.
- We have been AAHA Certified since 1984 and pride ourselves on the level of service and quality of Medicine we provide.
- We have full medical facitilities and our 8 Doctors share their knowledge and experience freely with each other and our students.
- We have Digital Radiography, Ultrasound, In House Laboratory equipment.
- We have a full library in house, VIN, Pet Portals, and online Store and Medical Database available for perusal.
- We are surrounded by Board Certified Specialists, and refer cases freely amongst them.
- We have in house continuing Education twice monthly, Full Staff meetings monthly. We expect Doctors and Staff to participate in Continuing Education Seminars Yearly. We have active Phase Training Protocols and training programs for our staff.
A
willingness to participate in all aspects of our Hospital Procedures,
Protocols, Meetings and Rounds. We feel the value of an externship is
to get a broad range of experience and exposures to the workings of a
full service, busy Veterinary Practice.
8-10 Hours Daily of participation 5 days per week.
