Introducing the Let's Talk Outreach Program! "Let's Talk" provides easy access to informal and confidential consultations with a Counseling and Consultation Service (CCS) staff member to discuss your concerns and receive support, resources, and assistance with immediate problem solving.
Beginning Spring semester 2013, the College of Veterinary Medicine will be hosting Shivaun on-site every Tuesday in VMAB room 265 (Jane Woodland's office) from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. Appointments are available on a "walk-in, first come-first served" basis and the service is free. Students can remain anonymous if they choose.
Shivaun Nafsu has a special interest in student wellness and in working with students from a collaborative and strength-based approach. She enjoys helping students remove or cope with barriers that are impacting their lives. Her counseling style is integrative, utilizing a number of theoretical approaches and techniques including, cognitive-behavioral, interpersonal and systems based approaches. Shivaun's clinical interests include: multicultural counseling, international and non-traditional student concerns, relationships, self-esteem and outreach programming. Shivaun enjoys outdoor activities, the arts and spending time with friends and family.
