Description
This is an externship in a busy, after-hours, small animal emergency setting where we practice quality, progressive medicine & surgery. We are open at night on week days (7 pm-7:30 am) and 24 hrs on weekends. We see a large number of trauma cases, c-sections, GDVs, other interesting surgeries and challenging internal medicine cases.

Associate Veterinarians and special expertise available
3 full time veterinarians (2 OSU grads) who work solely in an emergency and critical care setting.

Responsibilities
Externs will be expected to use their physical examination skills to help us triage incoming patients and to monitor hospitalized patients. Externs will be able to assist with diagnostics (collection and interpretation), as well as medical and surgical procedures. If you are interested, we may also have some spays and neuters for you to perform.
Student Supervision
One or more veterinarians are available at the hospital 12 + hours per day/7 days per week.
