Integrative Medicine Club (American Holistic Veterinary Medical Association (AHVMA))
The Student Chapter of the American Holistic Veterinary Medical Association is a group that provides opportunities for veterinary students to gain some knowledge of acupuncture, homeopathy, medicinal herbs, chiropractic, nutritional therapy, and other complementary therapies while they are still in veterinary college. This information is provided through guest speakers, group discussions, field trips, and various types of literature from the AHVMA.
The demand for holistic veterinary services has increased greatly during the last decade, so there are many opportunities for veterinary students with an interest in alternative modalities.
Membership in the Student Chapter is open to veterinary students as well as anyone interested in holistic medicine. For more information or to become a club member, contact day [dot] 265 [at] osu [dot] edu (Lisa Day).
