Small Animal medicine and surgery with both Board certified specialists (full time: surgery and internal medicine, part time: dermatology, cardiology and oncology) and 6 doctor general practice group. The practice is open 6 days per week 9-8 M-F, Sat 9-4, seeing our own emergencies 7 days/ week. We have 2 sites listed below.
Rotation through general practice clinic hours, general practice surgery with time dedicated to the specialty group as case load allows. NOTE: we do see our own emergencies with after hours emergency time optional to student.

We maintain a library with texts, journals. There will be a local Veterinary meeting the 2nd Wed of every month as optional.
Students will be expected to maintain professional appearance and persona throughout their experience. They will assist in consults and observe surgery, but will not be able to perform surgery in this setting. If case load allows, students may be able to assist with technical procedures ie venipuncture, catheter placement.
The students will be under direct veterinary supervision throughout their experience. They will have 40 hours/ week, for 5 day period, assigned to a DVM with more available at the student's discretion.
