We have a state of the art modern hospital offering boarding, grooming, house calls, emergency on call, as well as surgery and medicine. We are busy having over 15,000 transaction for 2 doctors this year. W are an excellent example of progressive general practice. Our lab includes Abaxis Vet Scan/HMT, diff counts cytology - FNA and impressions, Idexx test kits; Giardia, fecal centrifuge, fluid analysis, in-house U/A, Radiology - Innovet 300mA dental x-ray, ultrasound/ telemedicine, tonopen, etc. The student will accompany the doctor through rounds, case work ups, assist in surgery, prep patients, induce anesthesia, set IV catheters, do spay/neuter for barn cat program and trap and release, open rooms with history gathering, aid in physical, recommend treatment, close out with client communication. Help with general office function. The student can expect to see 10 -12 cases per day and 50 - 60 cases per week.

Student Supervision

The student will have direct access to the veterinarian 8 – 12 hrs per day.
