Hans Willenegger Residency in Small Animal Surgery

The Ohio State University College of Veterinary
Medicine invites applications for the Hans Willenegger Residency in Small
Animal Surgery. The Hans Willenegger Residency was established by endowment
from AO International and AO VET, and continues to be supported by this
endowment and the R. Bruce Hohn and Richard L. Rudy Small Animal Surgery
Residency endowments.

Preference
is given to veterinarians who are Western European nationals meeting admission
and immigration requirements. Qualifications include a veterinary degree and
completion of a 12-month small animal internship or its equivalent.

The program is a three year combined residency and graduate studies program
leading to a Certificate of Residency and Master of Science degree. Details of

resident is expected to develop comprehensive expertise and clinical
proficiency in small animal general and orthopedic surgery, and to satisfy the
criteria necessary to qualify for ACVS board certification.

Interested
applicants should submit a letter of intent, curriculum vitae, and three
letters of reference from qualified veterinarians who are familiar with the
candidate’s clinical knowledge and skills.

The
application deadline is Dec 24, 2010. The residency program begins July 15,
2011.
