Small Animal Specialty / Referral and 24/HR Emergency facility in SW Florida. Student has requested a two week rotating Externship in the areas of oncology, internal medicine, emergency and critical care, and surgery. Hospital currently has internship program in place, Extern to interact daily with interns as well as specialists throughout the day. Daily formal rounds each morning at 8am, informal rounds at 6pm. Topic rounds (one hour) are held for interns each Wednesday morning, participation by Externs is encouraged.

Experience can be customized to the students interests. Generally however, we have the student rotate 2 days in each department. If interesting cases present from another department we will let the student know, allowing them the opportunity to become involved. Our goal is to offer each student an opportunity to experience a wide variety of medical / surgical and emergency cases while they are here.

• Boarded specialists available in the areas of Surgery (1) , Internal medicine (2), Radiology (1), Oncology (1), Theriogenology (1). Residency trained doctor in Emergency & Critical Care (1)
